The Tavern
Naples, via Mezzocannone, university road and connection between the many monuments of the historic center of Naples. The atmosphere at Osteria La Chitarra is one of pure and cordial conviviality. Just ten tables, terracotta floor, simple and attentive mise en place, with a simple service without frills and attentive, friendly and professional people.
The Origins
A guitar to remind you that nothing is by chance here. In fact in 1991 this place was inaugurated by the chansonnier Egisto Sarnelli as a gastronomic and artistic club and then it was taken over in July 1996 by the Maiorano family who decided to give more prominence to food and so today the guitar is detached from the wall, when some passionate customer or artist takes possession of it, improvising the classic songs of Neapolitan music.
